Key Responsibilities

  • Test Planning and Strategy: Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies for web applications, ensuring all features and functionalities meet the highest standards.
  • Manual and Automated Testing: Perform both manual and automated testing to identify, document, and track bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
  • Cross-Browser and Cross-Device Testing: Ensure that web applications function correctly across various browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and devices (desktops, tablets, mobile).
  • Performance and Load Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess the scalability and stability of web applications under load, ensuring they meet performance requirements.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements, report defects, and verify bug fixes.
  • Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure new code changes do not adversely affect existing features.
  • Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar, to streamline testing processes.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test cases, test scripts, and documentation to support the quality assurance process.
  • User Experience (UX) Testing: Evaluate the overall user experience and provide feedback to improve the usability and accessibility of web applications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in web quality assurance, with a strong understanding of web technologies and testing methodologies.
  • Testing Tools: Proficiency in using testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, JIRA, TestRail, or similar for test management and automation.
  • Web Technologies: Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development practices.
  • Bug Tracking: Experience with bug tracking and project management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Trello.
  • Automation Skills: Experience in writing and maintaining automated test scripts.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on ensuring every aspect of the web application is tested thoroughly.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and suggest effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with developers, designers, and other stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools like Apache JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
